Part of Websites and Platforms
Websiteredesign.
Website redesign services for businesses in Canada and the United States whose site has started working against them. A redesign starts with what the current site already earns, keeps it, and rebuilds the rest, with every old address mapped so the rankings you have are protected. It is part of Websites and Platforms.
A new site that keeps what the old one earned, and fixes what it cost you.
In your words
Soundslike this?
The site makes us look smaller and older than we are.
It takes a long time to load on a phone, and most of our visitors are on a phone.
Changing one sentence means waiting for a developer.
We do not show up when people search for what we do, or when they ask an AI assistant.
We are not sure the site works with a keyboard or a screen reader, and we have been asked about accessibility.
People visit, and very few of them get in touch.
If you are not sure whether the site needs rebuilding or only fixing, the Website Performance Audit answers that first, in writing.
In plain language
A redesign that keeps what already works.
Most of the risk in a website redesign sits in what gets thrown away by accident: the page that quietly brings in half the inquiries, the address other sites link to, the article that ranks. So a redesign starts by finding out what the current site earns, and the new site is drawn around it.
A new look is the visible half. Keeping what the old site earned is the half that protects the business.
Everything else is rebuilt for the job the site has now: a structure that follows the decision your buyer is making, pages your team can change without a developer, forms that land in your CRM with an owner, and a build that is fast on a phone, readable by search engines and AI assistants, and usable with a keyboard and a screen reader.
The redesign can happen on the platform you already run. Where that platform cannot do the job, you get the reason in writing before anything moves.
When this is not the answer. If the site is sound and the problem is that nobody finds it, the work is Search and AI Visibility, not a rebuild.
If the problem is a handful of fixable pages, the audit says so and ranks the fixes, and a full redesign waits until it is actually needed.
The capability table
What website redesign services include.
What each part does in plain words, and what it changes for the business.
| Capability | What it does | What it changes |
|---|---|---|
| Before anything changesWhat the current site earns | ||
| An audit of what exists | Conversion, speed on a phone, search, AI readability, accessibility and measurement, checked on the site you have today. | The redesign fixes causes rather than symptoms. |
| The pages that earn | Which pages bring visits, inquiries and links from other sites, identified from your own data. | Nothing valuable is thrown away because it looked old. |
| A content inventory | Every page listed and marked keep, rewrite, merge or retire. | You decide what carries over before any design exists. |
| What carries overContent and addresses | ||
| Content migration | What earns is moved across, rewritten only where it needs to be. | The words that already work keep working. |
| The URL and redirect map | Every existing address mapped to its new home before the old site comes down. | Links, bookmarks and the rankings you have follow the page to its new address. |
| The rebuildDesign, structure and systems | ||
| Structure from the buyer's decision | Pages ordered by what your buyer needs to believe before getting in touch. | The site explains what is currently explained on the phone. |
| A design system and templates | Components and page templates rather than one-off pages. | The next page costs a fraction of the first. |
| A content management system | Built to your content types and your approval flow. | Your team edits the site without booking a developer. |
| Forms and the CRM connection | Every inquiry becomes a record with a source, an owner and the time it arrived. | No inquiry sits unclaimed in a shared inbox. |
| Before it goes liveThe checks, run in full | ||
| Accessibility | Designed to WCAG 2.2 AA and tested with a keyboard and a screen reader. | The result is a measurement rather than a claim. |
| Search and AI visibility foundation | Page structure, internal links, structured data, sitemaps and crawler access for search engines and AI assistants. | The new site can be found, read and quoted. |
| A performance budget | Tested on a mid range phone on a cellular connection. | The site is fast where your buyer actually reads it. |
| Redirects tested on the live site | Every mapped address checked after launch, not only planned before it. | A broken redirect is found by the check, not by a customer. |

How it starts
Where a redesign starts.
Before you choose a website redesign company, decide which of these matches what you know today.
You are not sure what is wrong
Start with the Website Performance Audit. It checks the site you have and ranks what to fix first, including whether a redesign is the answer at all.
You know the site needs rebuilding
Start with a free discovery call. It maps what the site has to do, what it runs on, and what must carry over, and a written proposal with the scope follows.
The deliverables
What you end up with.
- A live site in your accounts
On infrastructure in your own accounts. How ownership works
- The audit of the old site
What it earned, what it cost you, and what the redesign was drawn around, in writing.
- The content inventory
Every page, and whether it was kept, rewritten, merged or retired.
- The redirect map
Every old address and where it now points, so the move is auditable a year later.
- A CMS your team publishes in
Built to your content types and your approval flow, with your team trained before launch.
- Every inquiry in your CRM
With its source, its owner and the time it arrived.
- The launch checklist results
Fourteen named checks, run in full, with what each one returned.
What is not on this list. A second language is a different scope, on Multilingual websites. So is an online store, on E-commerce platforms.
Asked and answered
Questions people actually ask.
-
Will I lose my Google rankings?
They should not be lost by accident. Every existing address is mapped to its new home before the old site comes down, the pages that already earn are kept, and the redirects are checked on the live site after launch. Some movement while search engines re-read the site is normal, and nobody can promise a ranking.
-
Can you keep my content?
Yes. Every page is inventoried first and marked keep, rewrite, merge or retire, and you approve that list. What earns carries over, rewritten only where it needs to be, and anything retired is redirected rather than deleted.
-
Do I have to change platform?
No. If the platform you run can do the job, the redesign happens on it. Where it cannot, you get the reason in writing, and moving is a separate decision you make with that reasoning in front of you.
-
Will the new site meet accessibility law?
It is designed to WCAG 2.2 AA and tested with a keyboard and a screen reader. In Ontario, the AODA website standard names WCAG 2.0 Level AA for organizations it covers. Whether it covers yours is a question for your counsel, and we can document what was built and tested for them.
-
What does it cost?
The price is set after the discovery call and written into the proposal you sign. How scope and price are set
